The Hope Gala Dinner is the major fundraising event on the Teen Challenge calendar. In 2023 Bentham Foundation and Well Life Services are the proud platinum partners of TCQ’s ninth annual Hope Gala on Saturday 3 June at Brisbane City Hall.
This is a fun filled night with a delicious three course meal, live entertainment from LURE band, stories of transformed lives, dancing, and a live and silent auction.
Together we are hoping to raise $250,000 which will contribute to supporting 41 people completing the Recover phase* of the rehabilitation program. (*Phase 1 of the 12 month program)

Donate an Auction Item
Would you consider donating an Auction Item towards the Live and/or Silent Auction of Teen Challenge QLD’s Hope Gala on Saturday 3rd June 2023. The amount raised from the auction is generally around 25% of the overall proceeds from the evening. For further details please view the attached brochure.
You are invited to partner with TCQ by sponsoring the Hope Gala 2023. When you do that you will align your business to a social cause that changes the lives of people overcoming addictions as well as gaining exposure to TCQ’s large supporter base.
Host a Table
We are inviting you to consider being a Table Host at Hope Gala 2023. You would be responsible for inviting 9 guests who have a heart for the cause of TCQ and the capacity to give. Each guest will be encouraged to make a donation on the night. You might even consider running a fundraiser before the event. We will send you a full Table Host pack (including invitations and guest registration instructions).
Ben’s Story (Father)
Before I went to Teen Challenge QLD (TCQ), my life was a catastrophe. It was defined by addiction and depression. I had been addicted to heroin for ten years, was severely depressed and heavily medicated. My family life was shattered. My time in Teen Challenge gave me a new mindset and the skills needed to make lasting change. I learnt how to live free.
Dom’s Story (Son)
My life was full of challenges. I experienced things no child should have to. Addiction and dysfunction marked my family. I remember the day when I was 10 when I walked in on Dad injecting heroin. When I was 13 he attempted suicide. My constant thought was that I wasn’t good enough to make Dad happy. Things changed when Dad went to rehab, but my own life was unravelling. I felt like I came from nothing, but now my broken pieces have been put back together and God is using my story to help being freedom to others.
Every dollar raised will go directly into impacting men and women in the New Life Rehabilitation Centres in Toowoomba
